Funkmaster Flex to tweak the 2011 Ford Fiesta
More and more hype continues to pour onto the scene of the 2011 Ford Fiesta each day we creep closer to the official launch. The latest and greatest pop culture icon to touch & test the Fiesta waters is Funkmaster Flex. After a successful roundabout with the American Idol crew, Ford knows full well to keep the wheels rolling with more exciting social icons. The latest tidbit we are pumped up to let you in on is that MTV2 will air the first episode of celebrity customizer Funkmaster Flex on his new TV show “Funk Flex Full Throttle” (2pm EST on May 2, 2010) where he will be exhibiting and giving away completely customized 2011 Ford Fiesta. As a part of the show & the intertwined contest, one lucky viewer will actually win the keys to the tricked out car!
Funkmaster Flex will customize the 2011 Fiesta with his creative touches which feature a custom body kit, wheels, tires, lowering springs, and a Funkmaster Flex signature two-tone paint job with a custom interior.
“Ford has had a partnership with Funkmaster Flex that dates back to 2005 which allows us to become a part of Flex’s world and connect with today’s young urban consumers in a way that is most relevant to them,” said Crystal Worthem, manager, Multicultural Marketing. “Being able to incorporate the Fiesta into a show that will allow us to continue to highlight the customization potential of this vehicle by someone who is an authority when it comes to vehicle customization is exciting for us.”
The “Funk Flex Full Throttle” show itself is an adrenaline-pumped touch of hip hop music and contemporary car culture; something to tantalize the tastes of fans who love to live life in the fast lane. Each half hour episode will feature Funkmaster Flex interviewing brand name Hip Hop artists, exhibit his latest custom car projects, and will hold guest spots for Juelz Santana, Fabolous, Mike Epps, Diddy, Swizz Beatz, Nicki Minaj, Jadakiss, Ludacris, and many more.
“The Fiesta is definitely a vehicle that has major customization potential but also can stand on its own without having to do anything to it all,” said Funkmaster Flex. “Whoever wins this vehicle is going to be hitting the streets in a mean vehicle that has some serious technology on the inside. Ford really got it poppin’ with this vehicle and showed how you can take a small vehicle and push it to the next level.”
