OK, so before you get totally excited…NO, the Ford Fiesta cannot beat a Lamborghini Gallardo in a straight-shot race. That said, it’s fair enough to consider the fact that the feisty, lightfooted Fiesta is no stranger to tight corners and exercises a few “tricks” in order to defeat the Gallardo…maybe.

There is absolutely no doubt the guy knows how to drive…and drive he does in this teaser video for his annual drifting bonanza. Gymkhana II had such popularity that it drew in almost 14 million viewers who kept their eyes glazed upon the amazing driving skills of Ken Block. Now that Block has swapped over from the Subaru WRX STI to the 2011 Ford Fiesta, he’ll have a new bar to raise set. This quick little video after the jump exhibits a mere taste of what’s to come later on this evening at the official debut at Gymkhana III in San Francisco. If you are in the vicinity, be sure to head down to San Francisco’s Taverna Aventine tonight at 8pm!
Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know full well by now that Ken Block has made the switch over to the rally-spec’d Ford Fiesta from the Subaru WRX. The Monster Energy WRC events continue to roll through this inaugural Fiesta season with block at the wheel, with the most recent race taking place in Mexico. This was shot while Block was en route to visit Olsbergs MSE in Sweden, the company responsible for preparing his new Ford Fiesta for the Rally America Series.

We told you earlier today that Ken Block is ready to race, and here he is on some test runs just ahead of the Sno*Drift in Atlanta, Michigan! Check out the insane ice road drifting in the Michigan woodlands in this video. At one point, Block even gets his rally-spec Monster Ford Fiesta up to 120mph in 6th gear! Very cool stuff!
